David Hockney
Bradford. California. A different way of looking.
An artist. A world of possibility.
Born in Bradford in 1937, David Hockney studied at Bradford Art School and London’s Royal College of Art. His move to Los Angeles in 1964 opened a new chapter of palm trees, swimming pools and Californian light.
Portraits, landscapes and everyday objects offered him different ways to explore the act of looking. Across painting, drawing, photography and printmaking, the familiar became a place for visual invention.
Discover this artistic universe through the series and subjects gathered here, then explore the details of each available print.
